It can be used for industrial applications and also for personal use at home. The digital thickness gauge has a total measurement range of 0 in to 1/2 in., 0 mm to 12.7 mm. It has an accuracy of +/-0.001 in/0.02 mm and a throat depth of 0.75 in.. You can choose between metric and inch measurements with this unit by simply flipping the switch on its side from Inch to Metric mode or vice versa. There are graduated scales on both sides that indicate either inches or millimeters depending on your preference setting, making it easy to read no matter which way you hold it up against your material.
